Which of the three leagues would you say is the biggest? Its hard to say. Between them they have won 34 Champions League titles. Everyone else has 20 between them. Germany, Netherlands and Portugal have won 16 of those.
These three league have skipped away from everyone else.
And so while Barcelona is battling Real Madrid it is also taking on Inter and Manchester United. Similarly AC Milan is competing with Liverpool as much as it is with Juventus.
This also plays a part in international football. Would AC Milan or Chelsea team-mates go soft on each other if they meet in international football? Would John Terry not go in as hard on Didier Drogba? What do you think?
